On 14 July 1942 Lt. Billet was appointed Naval Liaison Officer for the Canadian 14th Army Tank Battalion.
Dieppe raid (operation Jubilee) attached to the 14 Calgary Regiment for liaison duties with the TLC Flotilla in the first flight (embarked in TLC 159)
